Inquiries and newsletter requests

Our forms collect your name, email address and the message you choose to send. Commercial and listing inquiries also request your organization. Newsletter signup requires your explicit request to receive The Synthetic Brief. We use inquiry details to respond, and newsletter details for the publication you requested. We do not automatically add inquiry contacts to the newsletter.

Delivery and security

Form details pass through our hosting service and Resend to the SMR team's private mailbox. Newsletter requests include the consent wording and version for our records. Cloudflare Turnstile processes browser and network information to help prevent automated abuse. Please do not submit confidential information through these forms.

Website use

If you allow optional analytics, Google Analytics 4, Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights measure website use and performance. Google Analytics uses cookies to distinguish visits. We measure page visits, reading depth, outbound links and inquiry outcomes without sending form contents to Analytics. Optional analytics stays off until you allow it. Use Privacy choices in the footer to change your choice or withdraw consent; we remember your choice for six months. Analytics cookies last up to six months. Detailed Google Analytics event and user data is retained for up to 14 months; aggregated reports may be kept longer. Analytics consent is separate from newsletter consent. Google and our other providers may process information outside your country under their applicable data-processing arrangements. Your comparison shortlist is stored in your own browser so it can remain available when you return. Clearing the shortlist removes the selected items from that browser's storage. Provider links take you to external websites with their own privacy practices.

Choice and retention

We keep correspondence as needed to respond and manage the relationship. Newsletter requests are retained while needed to manage your subscription and consent record. You can withdraw a signup request or request an unsubscribe. We do not share your contact details with sponsors without a separate, explicit request from you.
